Предисловие 

Учебник «Project Work Builder» (Английский язык. Лексический материал 

для студентов факультета международной журналистики. Уровень С1) 

предназначен для использования студентами в рамках программы бакалавриата, 

изучающих английский язык как в качестве основного, так и в качестве второго 

иностранного. Является дополнительным учебным материалом к учебнику 

Keynote Proficient Student’s Book by Paul Dummett, Helen Stephenson, Lewis 

Lansford (National Geographic Learning, 2016). 

Предназначен для использования в рамках программы обучения практике 

иностранного языка (модуль: Речевая практика). Все подобранные лексические 

упражнения отражают учебный материал, представленный во всех 12 уроках 

вышеупомянутого учебника. Его ценность заключается в том, что он основан на 

так называемых TED Talks, которые насыщены актуальным информационным 

содержанием и направлены на развитие логического и критического мышления, 

аналитических навыков и коммуникативной компетенции.  

Предметно-лексические темы данного учебника охватывают те области, 

которые отражены в основном учебнике: среднее и высшее образование, 

публичные выступления и ораторское искусство, жизнь в мире звуков и запахов, 

язык тела и жестов, экология и защита окружающей среды, креативность и 

успешность в современном обществе, технологический прогресс и новые способы 

коммуникации, еда и ЗОЖ, экономика и бизнес, отдых и путешествия, 

изобретения и новаторство. В каждом разделе предложены примеры 

экзаменационных заданий. Главной особенностью данного учебника является 

фокус на проектную работу, которую студенты выполняют в конце каждого 

раздела, чтобы реализовать свой коммуникативный потенциал. 

 

 

 

Методическая записка 

Все подобранные авторами задания данного учебника нацелены на 

дальнейшее и более углубленное развитие лексической составляющей языковой 

компетенции: расширение и активизация тематического лексического материала, 

а также совершенствование навыков перевода предложений с русского на 

английский с обязательным использованием активной лексики основного 

учебника. 

Языковой уровень студентов, для которых предназначен настоящий 

учебник, характеризуется в рамках Европейского языкового портфеля (Common 

European Framework of Reference for Language) как уровень профессионального 

владения (С1). Данный уровень предполагает следующие навыки и умения: 

обучаемые 
понимают 
большие 
сложные 
общественно-политические, 

социокультурные, лингвостранаведческие тексты, специальные статьи и 

технические инструкции; способны решать предложенные коммуникативные 

задачи в социально-культурных и общественно-политических сферах общения; 

подробно (спонтанно, аргументировано) высказываться по широкому кругу 

вопросов.  

Для успешного достижения вышепоставленных учебных целей авторами 

данного учебника был разработан учебно-методический комплекс, состоящий из 

12 блоков. Каждый блок соответствует тематике урока учебника и включает в себя 

следующие задания: 

1. Упражнения, нацеленные на запоминание, усвоение и активизацию 

тематической лексики урока. 

2. Упражнения, направленные на более широкое использование активных 

лексических единиц в устойчивых словосочетаниях, идиомах, фразовых глаголах. 

3. Задания, включающие в себя упражнения на словообразование и на 

выбор слова, подходящего по смыслу в данном контексте. 

На завершающем этапе студентам предлагается сделать перевод 

предложений с русского на английский. Целью данного упражнения является 

итоговое закрепление активного лексического и грамматического материала 

урока учебника и его дальнейшее использование в устной речи. 

Все упражнения из учебника задаются студентам на дом и проверяются в 

классе фронтально. 

Лексико-грамматический материал первых 6 блоков (1-6) студенты 

проходят в первом семестре учебного года параллельно и в дополнение к 

основному учебнику Keynote Proficient Student’s Book. Соответственно, 7-12 

блоки изучаются в втором семестре учебного года. 

Работа над одним лингводидактическим блоком вкупе с основным 

учебником составляет 4 аудиторных занятия (8 ак.ч.)
